Citrix Workspace app 2002, 2006 and 2006.1 for Windows; Citrix Workspace app 1912 LTSR for Windows (before CU1 Hotfix 1) Note that this vulnerability was originally reported against a subset of the versions above. However, further investigation has discovered potential variant forms of this attack and the affected versions have been amended. Additionally, this release address a number of fixes relating to installation, launch and Citrix WorkspaceappforCitrixCloud. The Citrix Workspace app allows for secure, unified access to all of your SaaS apps, web apps, virtual apps, files, and desktops. If your company uses Citrix, simply login with your company credentials to access all of the resources you need to be productive from anywhere.

Citrix Workspace App 1904 for Windows and later.

Objective

  • This release requires .NET Framework Version 4.6.2 or later. If you are trying to install or upgrade to Citrix Workspace app 1904 or later and the requisite version of the .NET Framework is not available on your Windows system, the Citrix Workspace app installer will download and install the required version of the .NET Framework.
    Note: If you are trying to install or upgrade Citrix Workspace app with non-administrator privileges and.NET Framework 4.6.2 or greater is not present on the system, the installation fails.
  • This release requires Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 14.16.27012.6 or later. Starting with Version 1904, Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable individual binaries are no longer packaged with the Citrix Workspace app installer. Instead, the Citrix Workspace app installer includes the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 14.16.27012.6 installer. When you install Citrix Workspace app, the Citrix Workspace app installer checks whether the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable package is present on the system and installs it if necessary.

Troubleshooting issues with installing the .NET Framework

  • The minimum required version of the .NET Framework is not installed before installing Citrix Workspace app
    The Citrix Workspace app installer downloads the .NET Framework Version 4.6.2 installation package from Microsoft and then installs it. This process might take several minutes.

  • The following error message appears when you launch the Citrix Workspace app installer.
    This dialog appears during network issues. You must have active Internet connectivity. Check your internet connection and try again.

  • The following error message appears when you launch the Citrix Workspace app installer.
    Installing the .NET Framework requires administrator privileges. Run the Citrix Workspace installer as an administrator by selecting Run as Administrator.

  • The following message appears after you install Citrix Workspace app.
    In some scenarios, you must restart your system your system for the installation to complete. Click Yes to restart your system.
    Note: If you click No, the following error message appears when you try to launch Citrix Workspace app. Restart your system to complete the .NET Framework installation and changes to take effect.

  • The minimum required version of the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable package is not installed before installing Citrix Workspace app.
    The Citrix Workspace app installer installs the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable using the installation package bundled with the Citrix Workspace app installer. This process might take several minutes.

  • The following error message appears when you launch the Citrix Workspace app installer.
    Installing the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable package requires administrator privileges. Run the Citrix Workspace installer as an administrator by selecting Run as Administrator log on as an administrator to install the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable package manually.

I've been wrestling with this for several weeks.

Scenario:

Windows 10 1809 LTSC running Imprivata 6.3 SP1 HF4 and Citrix Workspace 20.2.0.25

1. Kill Citrix Process

2. Kill Imprivata Process

3. Run upgrade to 20.6.0.38 > 'CitrixWorkspaceApp.exe /silent /AutoUpdateCheck=disabled /ALLOW_BIDIRCONTENTREDIRECTION=1 /includeSSON'

Citrix 2002 Workspace

4. Workstation Reboots

5. Sign in through Imprivata SSO (expectation is that I will connected to our XenDesktopEnvironment

If I downgrade back to 20.0.25 it works fine

I've also tested every combination of

Imprivata 7.2 HF2

Imprivata 7.2 SP1

Citrix Workspace 2002 Requirements

Imprivata 6.3 SP1 HF4

Citrix Workspace App 20.2.0.25

Citrix Workspace App 20.6.0.38

Citrix Workspace App 20.8.x

In all scenarios 20.2.025 if the only one that works, regardless of Imprivata version.

Citrix Workspace 2002 Known Issues

I've tried no parameters on the install and everything inbetween, no luck.

I've also tried using the latest version (20.2) of the Receiver Cleanup Utility to scrub my system before reinstalling. No Luck.
